Finding a kidney match proved incredibly difficult, but Senator Albers did what every father should—he stepped up and donated his own kidney to save his son's life on July 21, 2021. This profound experience inspired add to their life’s mission.  In 2018, they creation of Second Alarm Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation dedicated to advocating and supporting first responders.
